Which runes are associated with Heler? Submitted by johntrasler on Sun, 30/12/2012 – 18:31

I’m preparing my next RQ game, and it’s become interesting to know which runes are associated with Heler. He clearly has his own rune, but I was expecting him to have Water, and possibly Sky too if it makes sense for a God to have two elemental runes. Does anyone know whether Heler is associated with runes other than his own?

Major references

Heler’s main reference is in the Sartar Companion with a full cult writeup (seven pages) on p262. Other refs are in Sartar: Kingdom of Heroes. As a standalone god, his runes are Water and Change. As a subcult of Orlanth, his rune is Storm.

As a guide it’s 3 runes for a major God, 2 for a minor god, and 1 for a hero/subcult.
