Magnetism, and magnetic north Submitted by johntrasler on Mon, 21/01/2013 – 10:46

Hi,

I assume Glorantha has a magnetic north and lodestones can therefore be used for navigation? Perhaps not, though, given the shape of the world …

If so … are there any legends or stories about the origin of magnetism and lodestones? Do they point to one magnetic north location or do they always point in the northern direction?

Thanks,

Glorantha does not have a magnetic north, although it has a magical north (and south, east, and west). Some cults possess magical spells that point towards a particular location on Glorantha; and several magical items exist that always point true.
