I would love to see miniatures resembling the vast cultures of Glorantha in the future.  I would definately buy box sets if they came available.

Madknight Mini’s (or lack thereof)

Submitted by Erick Eckberg on Sun, 11/08/2013 – 20:52.

They need to get Crack-a-lackin’!  More mini’s!  Sartarites.  Yelmalions.  Nomads.  More Lunars.  Adventurers; Orlanthi, Pavisites, Duke Rauss’ Mercs. Grazelanders.  Ethelrist’s Black Horse Troop.  Tusk Riders.  Tons of Broos & other Chaos Nasties!  Start cranking those puppies out!  Sketch ’em, carve ’em, and cast ’em.  I am gonna build a to-scale dis-assembleable model of the Cradle, to run the most epic Glorantha adventure ever, and I need plenty of figures!

You might want to have a look at the pictures of the Cradle scenario from Continuum 2004:

Very, Very Cool.  The broken Dwarf Bridge is a nice touch, too.  I though it would be neat to build something very similar, except in removable stacked levels (decks) with the corridors and rooms available to move the miniatures about during the exploration/fighting.  I love the Mad Knight stuff and hope they produce more. Old Glory makes some very good historical minis in 25mm (Vikings, Scots, Irish, Romans, Greeks, etc), but they won’t quite jibe with the Mad Knight 28mm figures.  The discontinued Miniature Giant figures (particularly Argrath, Gunda, & the indominatble Harrek) are absolutely beautiful, and unfortunately 35mm in height….

I’ll check it out.  I’ve never read any of the Wyrm’s Footnotes (although in my defense, I can more-or-less recite all of the issues of Tales of the Reaching Moon, word-for-word….).  Thanks for the tip.
