Enhance skills Submitted by Vatras on Tue, 10/07/2012 – 17:22
I have last played RQ in the 3rd edition and the newer rules confuse me somewhat. When I enhanced an attribute like STR in the 3rd edition, the skill modifiers that included STR went up, thus enhancing the skills. If I enhance an attribute like STR now, will that influence skills, and if yes, how?
(I am thinking it might since starting values are based on two stats, so raising or lowering them might affect the skill. I could not find the relevant rule, though, since there is no index entry for that, and it is not mentioned in the spell, except a warning that the spell is powerful.)

If you are talking about RQ?

RuneQuest (MRQ2, Legend or RQ6):
It still enhances all skills which depend on STR. You can see that all base values of skills depend on 2 attributes (or 2x one attibute), this is the base value and if you increase an attribute all base values of skills having this attribute increase by the amount you increase the attribute.
So, as an example if you increase STR by 1 all skills having STR in their base value also increase by 1.
If you are asking about HeroQuest, I have no clue.
