CHA4033 The Glorantha Sourcebook – Q&A

Dating error: 1613 ST is 7/42

There is an errors in year, when the rebellion initiated by Beat-Pot Aelwrin in Oraya happened.

1613 ST is 7/42 Lunar use this date.

Cults of Runequest – Prosopaedia: 7/42 (1613 S.T.) whereupon in 7/42 (1613), Beat Pot organized a slave rebellion. page 14.

Correct

Article from Jeff in Well of Daliath: 7/42 (1613). In 7/42 (1613), Beat-Pot organized and led a successful slave revolt.

Post is correct

Prince of Sartar: 1614

In 7/42 (1613), Beat-Pot organized and led a successful slave revolt. 1614

Comic is incorrect, text below is correct

Redline History in Glorantha Sourcebook (both editions): 7/42 (1614)

In 7/42 (1614), Jar-eel defeated a slave rebellion in Oraya and gained the undying loyalty of its erstwhile leader, Beat-Pot Aelwrin.

ST Date incorrect.

Guide to Glorantha: 7/42 (1614)

She defeated a slave revolt in Oraya in 7/42 (1614), page 301.

ST Date incorrect.

Although the Glorantha Sourcebook as well as the Guide to Glorantha are the basic reference books, the used combination of Lunar Time and Solar Time seems to be outright wrong. I would expect either 7/42 (1613) or 7/43 (1614).

With the more recent entries listed at the top of the list, I would tend to use 7/42 (1613) as the correct year for Beat-Pot Aelwrins rebellion (and conversion to the Lunar Way), but I would like to get an ‘official’ confirmation for clarification.

1613 ST is 7/42 Lunar use this date.
