Right now much of North America is having a pretty severe cold snap. Where I live, all the passes over the Rockies were at least temporarily closed this morning. Which had me thinking.
That of course is a problem in Dragon Pass as well. The big problem points are Dragon Pass itself, as well as the other passes over the Dragonspine. Fortunately Traders Valley is broad and wide, and less of a problem even with heavy snowfall.
In Sartar, the roads make transport easier, although the Royal Road between Jonstown and Boldhome can get too much snow. Fortunately Geo’s Ridge Inn is well designed to accommodate travelers even in the depths of winter. Just wait it out until a big Desert Wind blows off Prax, making travel easier.
The lesson is – smart travelers watch the weather! And Storm Season can always means difficult travel. But the Orlanthi always seem to know when a big storm is coming, and hunker down into a convenient Geo’s Inn!
Can a water elemental move snow ? It’ll freeze solid!
