The Seventh Soul

Posted on December 29, 2022

Before the Red Goddess, people had only six souls. These had been placed in them by the gods when they made the first people. The six soul-parts, and the deity which contributed that part, are:

  1. Shape soul (physical body), from Dendara
  2. Warmth Soul (animation), from Lodril
  3. Beast Soul (generation, sex), from Oria
  4. Bird Soul (intelligence, mind), from Dayzatar
  5. Shadow Soul (fear, shortcomings), from the Other Goddess
  6. Fire Soul (spirit), from Yelm.

For 112,220 years, humans had been enslaved by their creators. The gods were not conspirators, for they did what they could and needed to do to ensure the good of the world they had made and knew. There is no correct judgment or right or wrong that can be put upon people who are strangers to the ideas being judged. We can’t blame the ancient gods and goddesses for not knowing something which was not known.

However, the job done by those six ancients was not complete. They did not know it. Any true act of creation contains seeds of things which cannot be detected by the creators.

Even with work done by Yelm and Dendara, the God of Order and Goddess of Virtue, something was not recognized. The seed planted somewhere and someplace came to fruit under the ministrations of the Six Creators. THey made our ancestors, who helped the Creators when they made us. They made something which they did not know, and not conceive of. Us.

We are unexpected because we are a mixed peoples – hybrids beyond description, neither good nor evil, material or spiritual, not even mortal or divine. Something other than our creators have contributed to us. For centuries people sought to identify the Other Goddess. Our Goddess skipped that, and discovered instead the Seventh.

The Seventh Soul is that of Liberation. It is what has allowed Perspective and the Recognition of Limitations, and from that the other Gifts have been laid out before us.

Our Seventh Soul is a curse and a blessing.

As a curse its entry into our lives is always more than we asked for; we are never allowed to rest; certainty is never assured; suffering and pain will always intrude into our vision and lives.

As a blessing its opening within us is always more than we dared hope for; we are never without its insight; certainty is not critical to success.

The Seventh Soul IS the Mask of the Goddess, which looks upon all else with its unchanging polished demeanor. Whoever looks upon it sees only themselves, albeit a divine part of themselves.

Awakening the Seventh Soul is learning this secret, and then applying it to the world in which you live.
