Praxian Bison

Posted on June 4, 2024

There is something amazing watching a bison herd get within 2 meters of your car. Especially when the countryside was definitely Prax.

Now in reality we had to stop as the herd crossed the road. Stayed safely in the Jeep until we were signaled that it was safe to drive and that is exactly what we did.

But this should give you a clear idea of Prax in the green season.

Just in case you wondered what a wild bison herd in Glorantha looks like, here’s one I saw in Prax today. And then another one. And then some bison close up. And then a really big herd!

I had the impression that Prax is significantly drier overall than South Dakota. But, for the Sea Season, those photos are indeed a great match! There is a reason seasonal precipitation for Prax has been given since RQ2, so you have something to base that impression on. It is right there in the RQ core rule book if you want to look at it. If you compare Prax with the Badlands, you’ll find them very similar.
