Sheng Seleris was an incredibly powerful celestial magician/hero/demigod. He taught his followers his magical techniques, ranked into hierarchies. Greg emphasized many times that SS did NOT use what we would call Mongol cavalry tactics. He, and his army, were not that sophisticated. Like the Lunar Army, his military success was as much based on their magic as their tactics. His followers can hurl sunspears, arrows of light, shooting stars, and countless firearrows.
Sheng Seleris is far beyond what any normal human can do. Depending on when this takes place, he’s someone on par with Jar-eel or Harrek or Androgeus. Maybe more. He has no real Earth comparison.
