SGRS050 Petty-Magick, Petty-Sorcerers and Hedge Wizards (2007)

Petty-Magick is a new magic system for the RuneQuest™ Roleplaying Game intended to allow greater and more focussed use of low-level magic. Building upon and utilising Rune Spells, Petty-Magick allows spellcasters to focus in particular areas, Demesnes, of Magick and hone their skills to become powerful spellcasters. Developing intuitive Insights into the world and aspects of their experience, spellcasters such as Petty-Sorcerers channel and cast many spells in each Demesne. With each Demesne enabling the use of many Rune Spells, such spellcasters can become formidable wielders of magic.

Having mastered a Demesne of Petty-Magick, spellcasters can learn and research new spells through skill improvement rolls, can learn skills and spells from other spellcasters, or can even develop and research their own spells. More Rune Spells are provided for Runecasters and Petty-Magick Spellcasters to slot in to your own campaigns!

A bonus to the power of a Petty-Magick spellcaster is the use of a personal Talisman. Though not required to cast his spells, the use of a personal Talisman or familiar means that spells are enhanced and Magic Points can be stored and recovered.

With rules for Necromancy and new Petty-Magick Professions this supplement provides a complete guide to solid spellcasting.
