The northern continent of the Surface World is called Genertela, which means “Place of Genert”, the Earth King who once ruled the land. Genertela is about 5,000 km east to west and 1,700 km wide north to south. It is bordered in the north by Valind’s Glacier, a frozen land ruled by the god of winter where no mortal races live.
To put this in context, the continental US Is about 4,600 km from east to west and about 2550 km from north to south. So basically Genertela is pretty close in size to the continental US – a little longer and significantly narrower.
If you imagine Kralorela as the Atlantic Seaboard, Genert’s Wastes as the Mid-West, and the Lunar Empire as the Great Plains, you get the rough dimensions. Fronela is Oregon, Seshnela is California.
