Although the new Dragon Pass book is available for sale on October 9, a few lucky souls managed to get their hands on it in Australia. Here’s Jason lee’s reveiw.
Dragon Pass came out of the “master map project” of Matt Ryan and myself a few years ago. We mapped the hell out Dragon Pass (and surrounding lands), and I created a gazetteer of locations – inns, villages, towns, cities, mountains, whatever. For me, it is an absolutely invaluable gamemaster reference for any campaign set in Dragon Pass – which of course includes Sartar.
It also comes with a lovely fold out insert map of Dragon Pass!
One thing Jason and I really tried to do is lean into Greg and my materials, and provide information that might help a GM describe a location or even be the basis of a scenario seed. That being said, there were plenty of other influences – and one I even unforgivably and incomprehensibly failed to include in the credits – Simon Bray, who had many discussions about Furthest with me over the years. Consider him in the credits, as the next printing will definitely have him there.
There’s a TON of new information in here, and I greatly look forward to this being available to you all!
There is a tremendous amount of new material. Even if you have carefully read and recorded all my notes over the past few years, there’s still a ton of new stuff.
Is Beast Valley part of this book? The Wilds include Beast Valley, the Upland Marsh, Dragonewt Wilds, Dwarf Run, the Stinking Woods, and the Troll Lands. Pretty much every area not dominated by humans.
