Sarostip Coldeye

Posted on June 1, 2021

This is a snippet from the Sartar Book:

Born in 1572, Sarostip Coldeye is a Sword of Humakt and part of the ruling dynasty of the Malani tribe. Sarostip abdicated all clan and tribal offices and severed himself from his kin, so that he might carry out a terrible deed without his kin suffering the consequences. In 1624, on Humakt’s high holy day, Sarostip led a band of Humakti from the Malani and other tribes and killed the Lunar puppet ruler of Sartar, Temertain the Philosopher. Sarostip led his killers along a secret path in the Hero Plane to gain entry directly into the Prince’s stronghold. After killing Temertain, Sarostip’s Humakti cut their way through the Lunar priests, Telmori warriors, and Sartarite bodyguards of Temertain, killing any that would defend the prince. Sarostip was a member of the Sartar High Council in both 1613 and 1625, and now serves on the City Ring in Jonstown. He is widely seen as the leader of the Humakt cult in Sartar. He is often away at Two Ridge Fort and speaks for the Malani Tribe at Jonstown. He is a renowned weapons master and has quested deep into the Underworld on behalf of his god. On one such quest, he gained his ability to kill with his left eye, at the cost of sight in that eye. He has pledged loyalty to Prince Kallyr Starbrow, and has a well-known rivalry with the Taraling clan.
