After Kallyr dies at the Battle of Queens, there is no regent in Boldhome. There is a self-proclaimed High Council of various figures such as Erynn Mercy, Vamastal Greyskin, Erenava Chan, etc., but there is not even a full ring and several powerful tribal leaders barely acknowledge them.
Inside Boldhome, the head of the stonemason’s guild (Leikan) remains the city administrator and is the de facto city ruler. He tries to handle disagreements between the guilds and the temples, although he is without any religious sanction or traditional authority to enforce matters, so must rely on consensus building and bargaining combined with using his guild as a stick and a carrot. Leikan does a surprisingly good job at this, but has no authority outside of Boldhome – although he does have some influence he is not able to command the respect of the tribes.
Other key figures in the city are Montagradus the Librarian, the head of the Lhankor Mhy temple, the Vor family (a leading priestly family), the Ingani family (leading figures in the Association of Merchant Princes), Serzeveth Silvermine (head of the Jewelers Guild who controls the silver mines near Guilder Town), Bondaru Silkshirt (who are key figures in the overseas caravan trade), and Arrenava Weaver (head of the Cloth Guild). There are a few Wind Lords and mercenary captains trying to lead the city in military affairs, but they are a fractious lot.
