MGP8101 Glorantha: The Second Age – 1st Edition (2006)

Glorantha: The Second Age

In its gloríous Second Age, Glorantha is the prize of warring empires.

Permeated by magic and shaped by myth, its heroes achíeve power by questing for runes, emulating the deeds of the goos and mastering the arcane formulae of the sorcerous arts.

Two empires vie for ultimate domínance. The God Learner Empire seeks to crack open ano the very secrets of the gods, manipulating them to their own ends. The Empire of Wyrm’s Friends works to transform its lano and people ínto a gigantic, mystical dragon, which will take flight ano reshape the entire world. The Second Age is a time of unprecedented discovery and exploration. For the first time, trade and travel allows the interaction of far-flung cultures and new forms of magic, eldritch device and mystical evolution are unveiled every year.

Against this backorop of unfettered progress, dark omens gather. Men have pushed the Glorantha’s eternal laws of myth and magic to the breaking point. How long will it be before the world strikes back at them, punishing their unprecedented hubris? The Age of Empires is entering its damning twilight – an end of war and strife. The Siege of the Clanking City is underway. Cold doubt spreads through the ranks of the Dragonspeakers. Insurrection builds against the modern corruption of ancient faiths.

Join the fray. Approach your destiny. Enter Glorantha’s glorious Second Age.
