and we’re going to dive in starting at the beginning of Sacred Time and

um i’m gonna the the reason i’m gonna do this is i want us just to dive into the action rather than have a whole another

planning session and what we’re gonna do is that if there’s something that you wanted to do

planning or preparation for as this goes on we’re just going to do a flashback and see

whether you pulled it off so for example if if during something

you want to say hey i managed to get the support of my temple then we’ll we’ll do uh a little

flashback to see whether that’s actually the case but i i i would rather us just kind of

jump forward and get into the action here because there’s a lot to go on the one

thing that i will tell you guys before we actually move um

move into it is you will have found out what the extent of Kallyr’s um

uh preparations for this ritual is and what she will be doing and the

ritual is is really big i mean she has managed

to get many of the tribes to fully devote themselves

to um performing this giant ceremony

and the ceremony will start on the hill of Orlanth Victorious and

will um then go all the way to johnstown

and from johnstown they will go all the way through and around and they will be they will

they will make an air rune going all the way around the quiven mountains

and they will be spending a week traveling around performing rituals having contests

um etc the part where you come in and they take this and then it

cycles back to bold home which is where the the the climax of the

ritual takes place um and you notice what symbol that forms right

those of you guys that are that are looking at the map just kind of draw the symbol with your with your finger

uh lends itself to this sort of magical road you all on the eighth day

um looking at this eyeballing this it’s maybe 20 something kilometers from

so um with that shall we dive in to the to the main

the the sacred time rituals the big secret time rights began and let

me just pull the document up on day one is all the preparations

so i want to paint the scene here um part of the thing that happens in

um the there are thousands of people gathered at

uh the hill of of Orlanth victorious i mean starter sorter doesn’t have that huge of a

population maybe you know 125 000 people in in the whole king south of the uh

or in the free kingdom it’s it’s not that many people so if you can imagine

something with several thousand people gathered that is a big big percentage of the

entire kingdom showing up so you hit there is it’s it’s kind of

like a festival and a fair you have you have holy people um

uh chiefs and kings um warriors

you have devout people you know painted blue or wearing nothing but um nothing

but cremation ashes um it’s and you’ve got you know you’ve got

the arnold and holy women doing their dances and carrying snakes around

it is a big big deal it’s it’s um

it’s impossible to overstate how sacred this is for your people but also at the

same time how kitschy this likely is with you know what do you mean was kitschy uh

tacky yeah there’s a tacky element to it you know people selling buying and

selling stuff right here um uh people

um people you know clans making trying to make deals in in horse

trading here um food people who are here yes yes this is a huge

magical ritual but i’m mainly here for the free booze and the food um it’s

and um but it is a a festival that is a veritable who’s who

in sartar and there’s not everybody here is um is is

a friend of the prince so there’s even um even queen

uh have her disagreements with the prince she’s the the queen of the powerful Colymar tribe

every cult that that has so much as a single priest in the in the

kingdom is rounded up for this it’s a it’s a big deal but

a big part of this is the handing out of gifts and a question i have to you

guys is if you you guys are are going to be presenting some special gifts to her

correct well we we have the idea for the shield right let’s get into the arm on the arming um

but most of our stuff we actually gave already we probably kept a bit of that for this

plan to present at the beginning at the end or the middle of the gift

really want to notice what we are actually getting she she noticed us quite well

at their previous gift-giving thing so this is so difficult we should give

in the middle of it but Kallyr starbros part of this is um uh acclaimed

as orlanth rex in this and given that she is the prince of

sartar that’s a very hard thing for anybody to challenge since she’s already been acclaimed by

the priests and by the the tribal kings and as part of this

she is given her first gift which is sartar’s torque

this is a neck ring that was worn made for um the oriGinal prince sartar

and is basically part of the the kingly regalia of the princes of sartar

and several of the tribes offer um a number of gifts to her

many of the tribes coming and give some gifts some are accepted some are refused so for example the

black rock um which is this this black strange black rock that’s

carried out um like it is a a shrine or an icon is offered by the keldan

tribe that’s Kallyr’s own tribe and she accepts that

the orlanth temple there in boldhome offers her three gifts

it offers her the shield of iran which she accepts

it um they offer her the scarf of mists which she accepts

and offers her the um lightning spear these are all physical

things from the temple and she accepts all three of them but then the orlanth temple

offers her the sandals of darkness and Kallyr refuses it

why that no reason is given why doesn’t like darkness

because she worships pole star she is offered um some some

more unusual gifts um she’s offered a flask of

dalioth’s water that was taken from the the god’s world from the greatest

depths of the ocean in uh in the gods world it’s it’s in this sealed flask

um and the it’s offered by the locain tribe and she accepts it

the uh sambari offer her joe’s cauldron

this is the the cooking pot of sartar’s companion joe what yes the cooking pot of joe

it’s not possible it’s in the recipe book well the zambari offer it to caller starbrow

and she accepts it and the cobrea offer her four

wins and a net which she accepts but other gifts she there are other

gifts that she refuses um a group of mercenaries

from uh white wall that claim they represent the vulsacci even though there

is no vo sexy tribe they offer her brilliance sword

and helm and she refuses it but you can see she’s very tempted by it

but she refuses it how do the people who’ve been whose gifts have been rejected react uh

most look um that uh i’ll tell you the reaction of

each of them the sword in hell the folk that seemed very different the vulsexy seem very dejected

by this and very upset by it um

the yellow bear cloak is offered by the baumar tribe and she rejects it

uh but they actually seem pleased that she rejected it

the clear wine earth temple this is the biggest earth temple in sartar offers her

a wine stick staff offered it by the the high priestess of vernalda um

erin ava chan presents it to her doesn’t look very happy when she sees

color and it’s known that the her family hates Kallyr

Kallyr rejects it refuses it and aaron ava chan does not seem

troubled in the slightest by this um

offers caller the black spear of the colymar this is the sacred weapon of that tribe

and Kallyr has caller refuses it and uh the queen of the Colymar seems

very uh very much that she accepted this and is satisfied the

this is a this is a great horned helmet that was once worn by the the mighty

series of um she’s ritually armed with all the gifts

wearing companions and their accoutrements are bound in place and once they’re already everyone

including her enemies coordinate effects to

harness all of their magical power and potential and to transform the event

into a hero quest this is the point where the glasses go on for you

um in color at this point it becomes apparent

that every spirit in sartar must be here

there are your weird watching spirits you know there’s that weird spirit that follows you around a lot

it’s there but there are there are loads of spirits all over the place

there are um but the creepiest bit is the number of ancestors

and ghosts that are watching this i mean just thousands of them

all gathered just so crowded yeah crowded with spirits um

and and spirits jostling in um into into each other and all being

creepily silent as uh caller invokes the ritual

of departure and and all of these spirits are watching what’s

going on here and you could see that that that it is for you it is incredibly hard to see the

distinction between the spirit world and the mundane world right now in fact

it’s questionable whether there even is one for the rest of you all because you’ve all participated in in

this things are also odd

you don’t see thousands of spirit you know thousands and thousands of spirits like incala does

but there are clearly things present here that are not people

but because there’s so much magic being pumped into this that that it’s very clear

not the magical load yet he’s basically bought some regular mode but he’s got his magical load with him because it only lasts a certain amount

yourself blue and are naked but a club for a cloak yep and i got my weapons of course because

this is one of the things is keep in mind that that if you’re wearing your regalia

because this is a huge magical ceremony going on it’ll help lock you into that

for the rest of the two weeks now the downside of that is is it

are showing up and they’re sit around uh dressed up in their orc costumes you know
