friend and she is an anarchist but actually she is more in the Ty Kora Tek cult

i am Philip i play Kulbrast One-Arm named thusly because he lost an arm in

an epic fight and i’m now a bored pirate who is trying to make the best of out of

being confined in a city on land it’s horrible

you know that i have to say philip that that that almost sounds a little bit like real life

the house that much so it’s not quite the same well richard why don’t you give us all a recap of what

went on in the last session for our benefit and for the viewing audience

uh we started the last session uh still more or less in possession of

the home we looted during the liberation of new palace we decided to

visit Argrath to gain some guidance on what his

plans were for the future and to see if he would uh become the uh

the presiding force in our uh shrine to him um we engaged in a sort of

we we found him in the midst of some kind of ongoing orgy basically of drinking and fighting

um and he seemed very happy we kind of he sort of agreed but we didn’t get any

real answers out of him uh so we decided to um venture into the wilds

um on our own mission uh we found ourselves a sable rider

uh sorry we found ourselves a llama rider uh called waha tall i believe he was an

impulsive writer

150 centimeters tall and uh extremely competitive over how many

people he’s killed despite the fact he uses a bow like a coward um nevertheless we we

ventured into the wilds of prax um with the aim of heading back towards the battlefield where

we saw the crater makers our forces we made our way across

the desert to the dwarf knoll

where we were kind of beset by some hyenas and then a little after driving them off

largely through the interaction of warhart hole we encountered a group of sable riders

who uh we have come to an agreement with to raid a nearby settlement which

is largely populated by members of the lunar army

and we’re just about ready to ride in and deal out justice that

sounds excellent okay without recap let’s just dive right in um

i i know linda had a little bit of housekeeping to do on her character sheet uh and

as did phillip i believe and just a reminder uh i one thing that i

uh when i’m running the game that i’m just inclined to do is to remind you all to check the box

when you succeed in doing um a skill check or a rune check

or a passion check um or or qualify for a pal gain roll just

be on the honor system check it yourself uh and then one at the end of a season

uh or whenever we get a nice long down time then we can make our experience checks

hopefully that works for everybody uh other than that let me go and put up the map of the

area for a brief moment here does everybody see this

yep moon broth in the middle well we’ve even got moon broth in the middle so let me give you an idea

of of the geography of this area here you’ve got the good place is where you all are in

and only apraxian would consider this to be the good place from the perspective of most of

the rest of the characters this is a dry grassland

it’s um you know unlike some of the areas you’ve gone through

it is there’s grass everywhere grass and and bits of chaparral and and

sage and whatnot but uh who all has the farming skill

i do you couldn’t farm here this land is you know you animals can

graze here it’s fine enough for grazing lands but it’s you would consider this to be pretty

crappy gran uh crappy land linda this is the good place

this is the second best land impressed

the rest of you guys have no idea what a um a farm is except for gina who

uh all of prax basically sucks compared to Esrolia

so you’ve got the good place you’ve got you haven’t gone there but there’s an oasis called moon broth and then maybe

20 30 or so kilometers to the southeast is what’s called the

dead place and we talked about that in the last session as a a bad place to go

um uh according to praxions no spirits can survive there

no magic can be cast there uh it’s it’s it’s basically an area that

died in the gods war and then just to give a little bit better bearings to the
7:40
northwest or the west of where you are is what’s called the pole jony march and

these are grasslands with the occasional bits of uh

stands of pine um so people that the people that are used to
7:58
um uh western us uh vegetation and topography the these

are the areas where the the plane land and the desert starts coming into the

hill country and so you’ve got a few trees but it’s basically it’s it’s it’s basically a grassland

and pretty good grassland and then beyond the Pol Joni march is sartar so uh

which is the homeland for Garan and too far back for him to remember it

but it would be nisk right so i just wanted to put that up to give

you guys some context and then let me pull the map down stop share

okay so you guys have cut a deal with josh the sable uh uh

a sable leader in his band of and let me count them up because this

and what they’ve proposed is there is um five of you you all plus waha tall

that’s another six the twelve of you he proposes that you would that that we all read in to the oasis

because he’s a good praxian and uh grab anything that you want to grab

there in the town and we split whatever we get

uh whatever we take and we part then as friends

parts we’re going to do there but this sounds like a lot more like a snatch and grab raid than a luton pillage if that makes sense yes

his basic thought is is that with 12 of us we can ride into the town um

if uh his his his grand strategy is we all mount up

right into town if anybody tries to uh stop us or organize a defense

uh against us when you’re right into s to town just kill them

what was that that’s always my plan yep just kill them uh and then uh we we can ride around

looking to see what animals they have and what stuff they have and

um and if there’s anything that looks good to

you grab it and then we’ll get out of here now we know this was still held by lunars or lunar sympathizers

well um no keep in mind that this is about a a little less than a

year ago at the second battle of moon broth this is where our grath and you all beat

the lunar army the first time so it used to be under lunar occupation

now i did make an inside roll earlier yeah that succeeded at the beginning when we were doing the initial negotiations

uh you know uh cobrast he’s at least as trustworthy as

a wolf pirate so not trustworthy he’s at least we obviously

would not want to you know unwittingly help him dispose of the current chieftain or

something you know or get you know sort of pulled into a

feud uh over there that would not be good and carla and nesca you

all know that he definitely has ulterior motives going on here and seems

very insistent that we need to act fast

well we could always ask him questions about well shouldn’t we take a better chance so we can scout the area and get

a better idea let’s kind of play him along with to see if he gets a bit nervous about it

yeah definitely you know i said that some of our my

companions are really are far better at planning things than they are at just writing in and charging which one is

    want somebody to use some social skills communication skills so what not to be

    lunars were forced out the the pulgoni uh tribe

    have claimed uh uh have have lorded over moon broth but after the dragon rose the

    the paul gionee rode to the south

    and so the paul joney aren’t in moon broth right now and i think it means that moon broth

    is for the time being undefended

    and if it’s not well it doesn’t have it might have some locals there but it

    doesn’t have the the the Pol Joni aren’t there and the paul jones are what we have to

    worry about they’re the bastards so ain’t calla you know who the paul

    joni are don’t you yeah nasty nasty horde cattle people horse cattle people we don’t like them

    yeah they’re the cattle bastards and what that that’s that’s what every practician calls them is the bastards

    cattle bastards and they are a tribe of of mostly horse-riding people

    with close connections with the tribes of sartar that have forced themselves onto prax

    and when the praxian shot when the praxions unified to try to force them out the

    pole joni uh yeah there was a uh a coalition of praxian shamans that were going to use

    their spirits to sweep the Pol Joni out of prax and the paul
    20:21
    joni brought in their sartorite allies and their their god or gods which were Orlanth who
    20:29
    mocked and they just mopped the floor with the shamans and ever since then
    20:38
    the tribes are very very wary of getting into a pitched fight with the Pol Joni because
    20:44
    the Pol Joni have some very powerful magic debris

    to to bring in and they do pay their the the proper respect to the priestesses of the paps so

    they’re tolerated but they’re hated if yeah if you can kind of imagine how

    that would work and they heard cattle and they ride horses uh and they do all sorts of things that no

    praxian would ever do did they ally with did they fight with argraft they allied with our grass

    that might be a problem oh but they have left that joshua says that paul joney have

    left moon broth why he doesn’t know but they all left

    a whole host of them all of the all of the Pol Joni herds have headed

    to the south i have gone to the south and nobody else came in to fill in

    the the the gap they left he says well that’s for us
    21:57
    how many days is this since they have left he says that it um

    they they they were all completely gone about a week ago

    so i actually see how many other tribes are working around in little groups to

    to attack moonbrush he’s been watching

    and he hasn’t seen anybody else any of the other tribes here but he

    thinks it’s only a matter of time but with 12 of us we can get whatever

    is left in moon broth and take it for ourselves and then get out of here but

    if we wait well yeah that sounds great

    maybe the Pol Joni will come back we should go we should go now because i don’t ride very well so it’ll take quite a while

    until we actually reach the oasis so we should you know go at once

    i think i’d lost some pirating miss you know remember our great raids on all the oceans this this has been

    horrible this is all this this whole campaign now at last you can this nisk will will let you know subtly that

    if we do see a big chunk of paul johnny we’re not going in there i don’t wanna our goal is not here to kill you know

    good people but if there’s an opportunity for some plunder that’s a good thing too obviously yes but we have enough loot

    giving you donations at your shrine did you give them stuff we have people giving free beer

    he is the one who is able to ride so he is actually leading my mule

    he’s always stabilizing me and helping me out and that makes everybody else happy

    he has the right makeup me too makeup does really well in the desert

    our sable riding friends from the front and us i have a concern if you do that i think

    the table riders will just wait for us to attack everything stir up the lost theft and then

    they’re not at all honorable they’re stable riders they cannot be trusted at all

    i’m just saying everything we do we have to consider the fact that stable riders will stab us in the back

    there is another way by the way is i have a question around the moon i’m pretty sure because

    uh moon bros is an oasis which is very important so a lot of fights happened here

    graveyard that i do not know all i know is i don’t

    think it would be very honorable for a son of humac to rely on the work of the dead

    as well so is it some kind of a big graveyard or not

    i don’t think that’s and it’s an oasis there are battles probably around there yeah it’s not like a giant metropolis i

    is there a desperate no there’s a dead place you could go there

    the very air poisons you in that place okay no no what i want to make clear is that out

    here for two to take over i feel comfortable to go there

    want them to they’re they’re the great archers we’ve heard of them it’s it’s heard that they can actually

    shoot between their horns and if they are into the camp

    the foe we can then ride in and trap them between a constant rain of

    arrows and a solid wall of steel yeah i wouldn’t want to be within firing range

    of those arrows to be honest better keep them close um so that you know they don’t we won’t

    be able to get ideas we will occupy the other half of the count no no no then they’re going to let us

    draw all the people over and then they’re just going to sweep in and take the stuff that it’s not there

    okay so why don’t we do this the other i go in with the i go in with them or right beside them

    when they and they shoot and then you know when it gets close if someone comes up you can charge in well the other time

    we tell them to so they stay outside and shoot arrows and we tell them that we’ll sneak

    the fact that um there could be someone in there who’s actually

    uh friends or allied with autograph and the stable writers are using this to kind of

    stir up our situation with them with our graph uh i don’t haven’t i have no trust in

    whatever they might be thinking or so what do you want to do um i’d like to have a stakeout first i’d

    like for someone to take a look don’t you have a raven that can take a look

    i mean yes in there already for sure i’ve probably sent him already

    coming out of it but it’s surrounded by it’s an oasis so it’s surrounded by

    it’s there’s there’s uh orchards where i don’t know

    i mean you humans you humans like to grow trees i don’t know why you like to grow trees

    um though but that’s what i saw i saw the important stuff tell me why

    it’s raven did you notice if there was enough steam to cover the approach of 12 riders

    well if you rode down into the center and run around to the lake he might get covered

    but not it’s not traveling far enough from the lake to give us the raven and the raven

    doesn’t have hands so he can’t really do this but the raven goes it the same it goes for the lake and it

    goes up it doesn’t go to the sides it goes up right but there’s a lot of it

    something heated it’s a heated oasis sometimes it goes way up it’s kind of cool

    has anybody got any magic which could use that steam to cover us

    a light wind does make it a little bit more tolerable and and what direction is it going i

    mean if say i would increase the wind and sort of you know change sort of um wafts

    these three steam it’s going from the right now it’s going for the west to the east

    so that’s where we’re coming from yes it’s against okay did that

    well i thought it would be looking for dead things for things for the humacity to kill so he can eat eyeballs

    weird because it’s not used to seeing steam coming off a lake

    uh and there were two villages and i’m sure that there’s food in both of those

    villages well we should get the paul jones example johnny the sable riders to give us a map

    and draw it out a bit sketch you know like sketch on the dirt and stuff to see what it is there’s two villages now so there could be two spots

    on uh new palace uh and he would have been familiar with the um

    building work looks like if only from hanging around waiting for scraps so i can try and phrase it the question

    uh but on the other hand the oasis folk don’t fight they don’t screw with the nomads you

    know they’re they’re the you all treat them you the inkhala uh the high lama writers treat the

    no the uh oasis folk as slaves that are bound to this community and

    then just obey whoever comes in that’s that’s your approach to it the rest of you may have a different
