Runequest Reston Hardback (2013)

Submitted by Martin Helsdon on Thu, 03/01/2013 – 14:11

Several years ago, looking around a local second hand bookshop (not far from where Earl Byrhtnoth and his thegns came to grief against the vikings in 991) I found a 1980 Runequest hardback published by ‘Reston’ for £4.95. It was in decent condition (a few repairs to its dust jacket) and so I purchased it.

Looking on Abebooks it isn’t listed, and when playing RQ in the 80s I never knew there was a hardback. Can anyone tell me anything about this book?

Rare

I haven’t seen that one before. But if you search Google for <Runequest 1980 Preston> you will find various website hosting information about that book. Apparently it is considered “rare” and even more so with the dust jacket you have mentioned. Well done. 🙂

Cheers

Robin

Thanks

Robin,

Interesting – thank you. Someone local must have been selling off their RPG books as there were a few more obscure ones, which I also bought. I’ve now googled, and yes, the dust jacket is rare. This one has a complete jacket, but it has undergone some repair.
