Ronin Arts (2006-2007)

Ronin Arts is a  joint venture by Philip J. Reed and Christopher Shy in 2003.

Six Bizarre Creatures (2006)

  • Strange and unusual monstrosities are a part of almost any fantasy setting and it is a rare moment when a gamemaster cannot find a use for a new, unusual monster. Runic Fantasy: Six Bizarre Creatures provides gamemasters with foul beasts that suit the sensibilities of the warped and twisted minds that embrace alien-like, non-human monsters. From the kacer—a winged beast that consumes the power of runes—to the wizard’s shell—the melding of an evil spirit and the corpse of a deceased wizard—the six monsters hidden within these pages definitely qualify as bizarre. (If not in appearance then they are at least bizarre in their actions and beliefs.)
  • Includes two new creature traits.
  • PDF, $1.95, MRQ1

A Dozen Free Legendary Abilities (2006)

  • In this 8-page PDF, written by Philip Reed, are twelve new Legendary Abilties for use with the rules found in the RuneQuest Main Rulebook. As with all new Legendary Abiltities (and, in fact, any new rules options) the material contained in this short PDF must be approved by the game master before it may be used in your campaign.
  • Free PDF, MRQ1

Six More Bizarre Creatures 2007

  • Strange and unusual monstrosities are a part of almost any fantasy setting and it is a rare moment when a gamemaster cannot find a use for a new, unusual monster. Runic Fantasy: Six More Bizarre Creatures provides gamemasters with six new foul beasts that are as warped and twisted as those found in the last batch. From the death’s mount—a two-tailed dinosaurian-type creature—to the sorcerous snake—a draconic-like creature that projects blasts of magical energy—the six monsters hidden within these pages definitely qualify as bizarre. (If not in appearance then they are at least bizarre in their actions and beliefs.)
  • PDF, $1.95, MRQ1

Expanded Professions (2006)

  • With Runic Fantasy: Expanded Professions, Ronin Arts launches a new series of fantasy roleplaying supplements. Inside the pages of this 32-page PDF you will find:
  • 17 new professions
  • Detailed descriptions of every profession found in the RuneQuest Main Rulebook, the Companion, and the new professions in these pages. These descriptions include expanded rules that make a character’s profession selection more important than ever!
  • An optional system that allows characters to start play with two professions
  • Written by Philip Reed, and packed with solid mechanics that enhance the use of professions during gameplay, Runic Fantasy: Expanded Professions is a vital tool for improving your character’s chance of survival during the next adventure.
  • PDF, $6.95,, MRQ1

A Dozen Skeletal Foes (2006)

  • Runic Fantasy: A Dozen Skeletal Foes, written by Philip Reed, embraces the skeleton and reworks it in order to provide game masters with more options when it comes time to pull out another skeleton encounter.
  • From the skeletal archer—master of the bow and threat to all player characters that prefer to stand back and throw ranged attacks at their opponents—to the skeletal spellforce—a sorcery-wielding skeleton that uses magic to assault the enemies of its master—Runic Fantasy: A Dozen Skeletal Foes has you covered.
  • Includes two new creature traits: Life Sense and Spellforce!
  • 16 page PDF, $3.95, MRQ1
