Gloranthan timelines

About as much time separates the campaigns of Hannibal from the era attributed to Heracles as separates the Hero Wars from the Gbaji Wars.  Less time separates us from the American Civil War as separates Tatius the Bright from the defeat of Sheng Seleris. As much time separates Trajan from the fall of the Assyrian Empire as separates the Hero Wars from the Closing.
The First Age is not unknown in the Third, but is a shadowy distant place inhabited by heroes and demons. The Second Age is filled with empires and kingdoms whose names are recalled only by scholars. 1621 years is a lot longer than people often give credit!
