Ramalia

So the last major polity in Maniria is Genertela’s answer to North Korea – Ramalia. This is a deeply unpleasant land, where a degenerate remnant of the Middle Sea Empire rules over an oppressed and exploited peasantry. Tapping is a state-controlled power, and often used as punishment. The rulers hate and fear the oceans, and ritually murder those who come from the sea.

No two ways about it, Ramalia in deeply unpleasant. And yet the rulers maintain a curious and ancient friendship with the elves of Tarinwood.
