After the defeat of Sheng Seleris in 1460, the exarchs of Kralorela were able to restore imperial order over Kralorela. Official proclamations greatly understate the difficulty involved – bands of Pentans, Praxians, and Hsunchen were active in Kralorela, and there were many Pelorians as well. It may have taken a generation or longer to get things under control. But eventually Godunya was able to perform his rites in each of the provinces, the magic bridges rebuilt and expanded, etc.
For a century, Kralorela enjoyed a rare period of prolonged tranquility and harmony. This righteous age was threatened with the Opening, but Godunya was prepared when foreign ships sailed into the Suam Chow for the first time in over six hundred years in 1587. The emperor’s fleet of galleys rowed by zombies defeated the outlanders.
By Godunya’s decree, Suam Chow is forbidden to foreign ships and all outlanders must be confined to Wanzow province. Lur Nop city is an international trade emporium, and those foreigners who have remained in Wanzow for a year can receive a certificate allowing them to travel through the rest of Kralorela.
