Pavis Art

Art

Here is one of the amazingly atmospheric pieces by Juha. He has done a beautiful portrait for each of the major Pavis cultures, they include the Old Pavisites, the Sun Domers, the Lunar Settlers, Orlanthi Frontiersmen and the River Folk.

It has something to do with the “spring-like” beards of the Mostali, if memory serves. Then again I might be making that up 😉

No, it is a long standing idea the Pavisites have these braided beards (possibly longer than canonical DH). Many cultures in our world had braided beards, the same holds for Glorantha.

Hi, Oh, this isn’t even the tip of the iceberg when with Juha’s work. These are NOT the images for the factions of Pavis, these are purely sample adventurers. Jed has done us some new work and it will be seen soo

BTW, will the Pavis books include more pieces by Jed Dougherty

Thanks for posting some of the art of the new Pavis books!!! I like it A LOT. And who’s who? My guess (from left to right): Sun Domer, Lunar, Orlanthi, River Folk and Old Pavisite. BTW, seeing that the Pavis citizens have braided beards… doesn’t it clash with the canonical Dara Happan beard?
