Often my posts go deep into how some part of Glorantha works or how things interact. That’s a personal interest which is probably shared by a lot of folk in this group.
But keep in mind that information is totally unnecessary to play RuneQuest or to even run the game!
Instead let’s think about an easy five room dungeon set in Sartar or the Big Rubble. Thats the approach to creating scenarios popularized by Johnn Four and it is an interesting approach. The five rooms (not necessarily literal) are:
Entrance and Guardian: The first room
Puzzle or Roleplaying Challenge: The second room
Trick or Setback: The third room, which could weaken the players before the climax
Climax, Big Battle or Conflict: The fourth room
Reward, Revelation or Plot Twist: The fifth room
Now all of these rooms can tie into lore. Even an underground basement with a band of trolls or broos can fit into this. The puzzle might just be figuring out how to catch them off guard and reward might just be loot. Alternatively this can be something that involves interacting with myth and and deep secrets. Your own taste really.
