The Choralinthor Bay is strongly affected by the tides. At times of very low tide, the blue hatched areas and the light blue areas are exposed. Only the dark blue areas are always submerged. However, during high tide, even the blue hatched areas are submerged. This means going through the Right and Left Arm Islands requires a pilot that really knows the waters and the tides- otherwise one should go through the Troll Straits at all times.
