Broo In The Big Rubble

Posted on June 14, 2024

Broo are the most numerous chaotic race in the Big Rubble numbering some 300. Broo are most commonly found in the Big Grazing and the Huntlands. The nastiest broo are said to be found in the Huntlands.

Most broo are members of wild broo gangs led by their strongest or most cunning members. They worship the Cults of Terror (primarily Thed and Mallia), know magic, employ rudimentary military tactics and withdraw immediately from more dangerous opponents. About half the wild broo gangs in the Big Rubble are directly subservient to the Thed shaman Highhowler.

A third of the broo in the Big Rubble are feral. Feral broo are more cunning than animals, and far more ferocious. Their hunger and hate drive them. Feral broos usually do not know magic, for no one will teach it to them. Their only hope in life is to find enough living creatures to eat, or to somehow join one of the wild broo gangs. The feral broo population fluctuates greatly, as the Zorak Zoran cult engages in periodic broo hunts.

Another 1,500 broo can be found along the River of Cradles and in Vulture Country. They are far less organized than the broo of the Big Rubble. Their most important leader is Muriah the Witch-Queen, an infamous Disease Mistress.
