I also found another list in the new edition of the Borderlands book
The Dung Urn
Eiritha’s table
Waha’s cradle
Raven’s step ladder
the Protectress’ Comb
the Shears of abundance (The scissors?)
the Spicegrass kettle
Yamsur’s firestarter (The lens?)
Seolinthur’s rudder (The plough?)
the Horn of apprehensionJuly 31, 2014 at 2:21 pm #10223David ScottKeymasterLets look at the source of those lists of items:
These are closeups of the counters from Nomad Gods (1977). The lists are other peoples interpretations of what they think they are, as they were never named!
What do you think they should be?

July 31, 2014 at 8:39 pm #10227Peter MetcalfeSpectatorI think the Horn is meant to be the Horn of Plenty (I know it looks like a trumpet but this can be explained by a cryptic artistic direction saying horn)
The cradle is undoubtedly the Giant’s Cradle. Perhaps a smaller one three to five metres long whose charge was empty or stillborn during the Gods War.
The Cauldron may be the Drinking Giant’s Cauldron which Argrath drinks (GtG p459)
The Table is probably Krang’s Table or one of those Eirithan Tables. There probably only is one rather than the many suggested in the Krang’s Table scenario (Pavis and Big Rubble)

Try: http://boardgamegeek.com/image/1389650/nomad-gods?size=originalAugust 1, 2014 at 8:31 am #10232David ScottKeymasterI don’t think they have fixed abilities, as they come and go in history they change what they do dependant on what’s needed at the time. The next time they appear they are different. They change in size and form as well
October 9, 2014 at 4:42 pm #11225NiallSpectatorSo my heroquesting heroes just defeated Basmol to gain his skin. What powers could it have?
It wasn’t a big HQ in that the characters are not powerful and it took place in the normal world.
The strength of a lion?
Power over other Basmoli?
October 10, 2014 at 9:16 am #11237David ScottKeymasterThe Lion skin is known as Tada’s cloak:
“His Lion Skin Cloak is a remnant of the Founder of the Basmoli Berserkers, and has been lost to that tribe for centuries. Although not their founder, they will always fight to regain their totem. Whoever controls the cloak, controls the Basmoli Berserkers.”
The cloak is a double edged sword – Power over the Basmoli, but they will alway fight to regain control of it, it’s also magic armour so will give an augment when used as such, but then is of no use in controlling the basmoli. How would I run it – the cloak is a benefit of victory, plus x in dealing with the Basmoli, and a flaw – nemesis of the basmoli. It will take the whole tribe to regain it to overwhelm the group. They also have the magic spear that Tada used to kill Basmol – it will always penetrate the hide…
October 10, 2014 at 11:52 am #11240NiallSpectatorThanks David.
So the Basmoli have the magic spear? Ah ha.
October 10, 2014 at 10:48 pm #11246David ScottKeymasterThe spear is part of the Ritual of the Basmoli that’s been documented elsewhere, but I can’t find at the moment…
October 11, 2014 at 5:09 pm #11257NiallSpectatorTales of the Reaching Moon 14, there’s a Basmol ritual which is about the killing of Basmol by Tada.
October 26, 2014 at 11:35 am #11350NiallSpectatorCan the Red Moon be seen from the Wastes
?October 26, 2014 at 12:11 pm #11352David ScottKeymasterThe Guide to Glorantha page 441 should answer your question, top right corner.
April 11, 2015 at 7:13 pm #14962NiallSpectatorWaha holy days:
What goes on during them normally?
My party of Waha worshippers are out bush, on a trail with a small herd of Bisons travelling to join their clan on Wildday, Death Week, Earth Season. They won’t reach their clan on this day.
What be expected of them today, far away from their Shamans/priests.
