I have a ton load of questions, things that come to mind in the middle of the night… So instead of spamming the board I thought I’d stick them in one place as they come to me.

Open for everyone to ask their questions of course.

What’s the Rhino Graze in the Wastes? I was so out with what I thought the Bison khan and Rainman graze lands were, that I won’t hazard a guess. The Guide is so close to being out that I’m trying to avoid saying one thing in my game and then have it turn out the complete opposite. YGMV of course and all that but I’d like to keep mine close to canon for the most part.

Do the Storm Bull worshippers of Prax celebrate no wound day? If so who takes the part of Chalana Arroy out in the Wastes? Are Eirithans healers?

Do you mean the Rhinoceros Rocklands? That boulder strewn region is where Great Rhino was killed in the Gods War. His spirit is strongest there and it has the best grazing for Rhinos. It is a natural pilgrimage site for the thinly spread Rhino Tribe.

When possible, Chalana Arroy takes the part of Chalana Arroy. The cult is well-known in Prax. As are Orlanth and Issaries. Eurmal and Lhankor Mhy, not so much.

Chalana Arroy is NOT Eiritha. Not even close.

The map i have shows a patch of grazing above the Bison Khan and rain man grazing called the Rhinoceros grazing, just below the Copper sands, so maybe.

I get that Chalana Arroy isn’t Eiritha, but who fills the role of healer in Prax when there’s no Chalana Arroy about?

Eiritha (life)(beast), Helpwoman (life, harmony), or Daka Fal (man)(spirit)(man)

However, there are 3.3k Chalana Arroy worshippers, and 10.5k Stormbulls in the Wastelands. There shouldn’t be much of a problem finding a CA worshipper.

I suspect the No Would Day ritual is very simple:

A huge fight, until everyone’s down.
A woman is white appears and gives healing words.
Everyone gets up and cheers
Then the celebration starts
Everyone gets blind drunk

I hadn’t heard of No Wound Day before – it must have slipped by me.

Storm Bulls in Prax would definitely celebrate this – more so that in other places, as this is where it happened (OK the Storm Hills but that is close enough).

Although Chalana Arroy is not a Praxian deity, she is connected to Storm Bull and so would be welcome. The White Ladies have been present in Prax since the First Age, so there would be a fair number of them knocking around.

Storm Bulls in Prax can always find someone to fight – Chaos, people who might be chaotic, tribal enemies, clan enemies, outsiders, clansfolk who looked at them funny once, people who insulted them, people who might insult them, other Storm Bulls and so on.

So…The Cannibal cult. How does that work? Would one find a whole clan in the Wastes who have turned to it? Or is it stragglers, outcasts and madmen who have banded together and turned to this out of necessity?

It’s a whole tribe, made up of stragglers, outcasts and madmen. If you join the tribe then you become a member, if you are a cannibal outside the tribe then you are not part of the Cannibal Cult.

I see it as a way to survive in Prax without being part of the Covenant. Praxians might see it as a perversion of the Covenant, in that humans eat humans, but the Cannibal Cult probably see it as being part of the Covenant in that they have chosen to be Eaters and other humans are the Eaten.

The Cannibal cult was Waha’s mistake…

When the Khan of one small group pulled the string, it was a loop! Waha held both ends in his hand – Waha had made a mistake. This meant they could live off others!

I see the cannibal cult as a group of possessing spirits that take over victims and turn them to cannibal ways. The Cult is really only a clan – a ghostly remnant of a group from the Great Darkness. Sometimes they are completely wiped out, but over the next few years they reform, they cannot ever be wiped out completely as they are Waha’s mistake.

So one could come across the remnants of a Bison clan out in the wastes who have been possessed, or it could be a gang of mixed nations preying on whoever they come across, just to survive?

yes to both. I don’t want to fix the Cannibal cult into one mould. I’d rather narrators had fun with their own forms of them. They are only a small group that should be used for game fun. However the longer you are possessed the further from your original self you become. First you eat your mounts!

Is the map of the wastes with the Rhino Graze on it a black and white map? If so, it is probably the one which appears in the Book of Drastic Resolutions – Prax. I have always assumed that it was a moderately more fertile and better watered part of the wastes traditionally dominated by the Rhino folk. But clearly I am wrong. Sigh!

So, it has the best grazing for rhinos and is a pilgrimage site for the rhino riders, pretty much what you assumed.

Don’t forget that good grazing for one beast might not be good for another. Some might prefer arid conditions, others boggy areas, others shrubby, others tall grassland and so on. Prax and the Wastes are full of different terrain types, they are not one huge sea of chapparral.
