Hi all,
I have begun an epic quest using the Teshnan Hero Wars secrets of Gebel of Melib, a poor man rising to heroism, seeking to unite his nation, throw out their enemies and seeking the Sword of Tolat, an event that will change Glorantha. As I am a bugger for shaking things up I decided to run this with Newts OpenQuest 2, meaning I am not only play testing the Guide but also play testing OpenQuest. My player characters include Gebel himself, a Fronelan ex Wolf Pirate, a Tiger Hsunchen and a priest of Blood Sun. Major npcs include an Amazon, a temple dervish of the woman’s regiment and a mountain man from the Shan Shan mountains, all of these characters worship Tolat in one of his many forms, one of the many hidden secrets in the Guide. What games are you all running and what more, do any of you have any stories I can pinch lol!

September 4, 2013 at 12:38 am #5554boztakangParticipantI’m running a troll campaign based out of the Great Caves. Current PCs include a self-aware Zombie, an apprentice cellarer, a performance artist, and an arkati fermenter. Highlights have included the creation of an Avalanche hero cult, experimental heroquesting, the extermination of two rival troll clans, and a prophetic spirit-quest into the mysterious sky realm. They also appear to have resurrected Arkat into a freakish semi-organic construct-thing, and sold Redstone to the Swarm…
Currently, they are in Pavis, preparing to confront the Blind King, in what promises to be a fairly significant crisis of conscience, which may well determine if it continues to be a “troll” campaign, or becomes something else entirely.
I’m also working on a board game based in the Big Rubble circa 1623. (Inspired largely by preparations for the HQ campaign)

September 4, 2013 at 1:33 am #5556Chris HoldenSpectatorJust starting (character creation stage) an online game on RPOL set in 1618 in Pavis and environs. It’s Lunar-centric in that all PCs must be Lunar, Lunar allied, or at least Lunar friendly.
September 4, 2013 at 3:16 am #5557CharlesKeymasterI’m setting up a game based on Sartar: Kingdom of Heroes and Sartar Companion. One of the prospective players knows King of Dragon Pass, the others are new to Glorantha.
September 4, 2013 at 5:04 am #5558James SpiveySpectatorI have run a Heroquest game over the Internet using Fantasy Grounds 2. So far we have had 80 game sessions. The players love Glorantha.
The characters include a Waha Shaman named Three Toes, an Orlanthi Priest named Avar the Stoneslinger, Thor the Hunter, Robasart the Raider – Orlanthi weapon thane, Eldon Strongeagle – former hostage of the Lunar Empire, Gauis Erronis – Lunar Tax Collecter and Eurmal Trickster, Brod Swordswinger – Humakti Swordlord, and Walpole – Greysage and Sorceror. Almost all of the characters date from the Colymar campaign sold a few years ago.
So far they have been to Hell, the 2nd Age EWF to combat Delecti, the wastelands of Prax, the Tunnled Hills, Pavis, Nochet, and all over Sartar. The made one trip to Gonn Orta’s castle and now they are on their way to visit Ralios in search of the human subcult of Arkat and will eventually be led to Dorastor.

September 4, 2013 at 6:10 am #5561Simon BraySpectatorHarald, my game is heading eastward and south, through Vormain, the Ten Thousand Islands of Vithela, Teleos, into Umathela, with a quick trip to Slon, then Fonrit, Jolar, Nargan and then north to Seshnela and finally home to Melib. I wanted to avoid the Empire / Sartar / Pavis region.
September 4, 2013 at 6:12 am #5562Jeff RichardKeymasterI run the regular Moon Design House Campaign here in Berlin. We use HeroQuest of course. It follows the adventures of a young, but very ambitious, Esrolian noblewoman, an Ernalda soothsayer from the Ezel temple, a Chalana Arroy healer/tutor, a trireme captain, and a collection of mercenaries, bodyguards, and assassins in the noblewoman’s employ. They are questing to ally with the Three Evil Men (“Heir of the Evil Kings, White Bear, and Dragon Lord”), and have already allied with the King Broyan, who they have determined is the Heir of the Evil Kings.
After rescuing Broyan from the Ice Refuge following the Fall of Whitewall, they are now off to Teleos, where the Goddess told her soothsayer that the White Bear is (at least he was there a season or two ago).
September 4, 2013 at 9:13 pm #5573RudySpectatorWe are running a campaign in Pavis where I used some of the old Rubble and Borderlands stories, now sandboxing how one of the party traveled to Clearwine to liberate his captured brother from the Lunar Slave Camp (which succeeded) and subsequently escaping back to Prax (coming up), probably to Corflu, in order to steal back the warship of another party member. Whether they will escape with said war ship, and how, and where they will eventually end up, is a big mystery 🙂

And I’m currently exploring some ideas/storylines around Vormain. That’s relatively new so I don’t have a lot to share, though happy to explore thoughts there if you’re interested.

September 5, 2013 at 9:22 am #5593KuningasSpectatorStarted a River of Cradles / Pavis campaign a couple of weeks ago with the old RQ2 or so rules (Finnish edition, I am not exactly sure on the version). Currently two characters — An agimori hunter and a duck fisherman. An interesting combination, though I fear the duck has an inferiority complex in combat. I’d underplay combat a bit, but it simultaneously seems like the players’ favourite thing.
I’ve been pretty liberal with skill advancement, though, so I hope things will settle soon.
September 5, 2013 at 9:32 pm #5607Eric VanelSpectatorI run a Dragon Pass based campaign based on “Sartar-Kingdom of Heroes” as a starting point, but with many home made developments. On of the big stake is the Telmori question, and how it influence and fuel the relationships and politics of the area. Next steps will bring down the heros to the Shadow Plateau, where they are looking for a powerful and mysterious artefact.
For the french readers, the write up of my campaign can be found on my blog (http://laterreetlefeu.canalblog.com/), but the last sessions are missing. The updated version will be posted soon…September 5, 2013 at 11:30 pm #5609David MilliansSpectatorMy ongoing campaign is based in Boshan Province of Kralorla. The player characters serve a local magistrate as runners and investigators. They and their lord are increasingly entangled in local issues and politics. Ghosts and old money are common themes, though run of the mill smugglers and their secret masters figure in stories as well. If they can avoid legal trouble themselves, their lord’s transfer is only two long years away….
