The most up-to-date Yelmalio writeup is in Pavis-Gateway to Adventure (2012), page 379, before that was Sun County (1992), page 21 (I’m ignoring MongQuest foe reasons Jeff has already mentioned).
For those of you without access to Sun County, but wanting to use Yelmalio with RQ6, here are the relevant RQ3 magic lists:
Quote:Initiates of Yelmalio are forbidden to learn the spirit spells of Bludgeon, Darkwall, Fireblade, Firearrow, or Ignite.Spirit Magic : Coordination, Detect Gold, Farsee, Light, Lightwall, Repair.
Common Divine Magic: all.
Special Divine Magic: Catseye, Sunbright, Shield.
Note that there’s no RQ3 horse magic as mentioned in Pavis, Sun County stopped using horses.

However the vast majority of Yelmalian NPC’s detailed in Sun County have the spell. Is there a common source for them obtaining the spell in or around Sun County?
September 16, 2013 at 1:37 pm #5824David ScottKeymasterFor clarification, Gods of Glorantha (1985) says in the Universal Cult format:
Quote:Spirit Magic: only certain spirit spells are taught by each cult. A qualified initiate receives a free point of cult spirit magic each five years . If he so desires, he can purchase additional spirit magic at the cost of …Don’t forget RQ3 complicated the situation by turning RQ2 Battle Magic into Spirit Magic. RQ6 righted this by making it Folk Magic. So Bladesharp is commonly available – it’s just not on the free list for initiates.

Was he wrong? Apparently you can have a dome without a sun and a sun below the dome is the flame.Old Xeotam was not a God Learner.

Old Xeotam was not a God Learner.Heh. Fantastic point. Unfortunately for all concerned, this gets my quest for Fire heading for the point at which the six-element system gave way in the west to the modern five-element (moon makes six) scheme. Fortunately I’ll keep this one under my hat.
Happy to hear the Youth Rider Sage Archer Lover Warrior Hun complex officially points to Kargzant now. It worked when Yelm was a kind of capitoline Phoebus but so many more layers of ritual purity separate him from us now it just didn’t add up.
As for Fire, Xeotam’s archaic system gives me some new ideas but I won’t drone on. Warring suns!
