I am in the kickstarter at the Dwarf level – technology is your ally! etc
However seeing the beautiful illustrations coming out of the project I have long been of the mind that I really need to have physical copies of the Guide and Atlas, especially when I read of efforts you are making to cut down on the shipping costs to Europe (where I live)
I have contacted the KS organizers before about this and they have reassured me that it would be possible to upgrade in the future, but I am now concerned that I will not be able to upgrade on time to take advantage of any reduced shipping rates to Europe I am sure I have read that you were trying to organize.
When can I upgrade to physical copy? what will the shipping costs to Europe be for such upgrades?
Thanks!

May 7, 2014 at 2:53 pm #7807CharlesKeymasterI don’t know the true status. However, I do remember a long distant earlier ‘printing disaster’.
I suspect that once the team get the printing proofs back, they will have to scan through each of the 800+ pages looking for errors introduced by the printer’s conversion process. Until that’s completed and they confirm to the printer to ‘roll the presses’, I can’t imagine them having the bandwidth for much other than breathing, eating and sleeping…
And if substantial errors are found, they then get to do it all over again 🙁

Worry is interest paid on borrowed grief.
