Playable races in 13th Age in Glorantha?

I was looking for a game system simpler to run when I heard about 13th Age and was interested. And then I heard about Glorantha and was blown away by the setting. I was looking forward to it, when I happened to read about prior Runequest versions of Glorantha that only let humans be playable. This is extremely disappointing to me, as I like different races. Especially after I read how cool the Uz were, only to find on your website it lists “Darkness enemies including Gloranthan trolls (uz)”.

I just want to know if there will be any options for playing races other then humans in the upcoming book.

The second playtest packet includes Durulz (Ducks) and Uz (Trolls). My game has a Durulz Trickster who’s One Unique Thing is he can take his bill off at will.
(I say it’s duck season, and I demand you shoot me now)

By the way, prior versions of Runequest allowed for all races to be playable. It was one of the strengths of the system.

Ditto what David says. In earlier RQ versions, you could play whatever race you wanted. We’ve played newtlings, baboons, then broos and scorpion men worshipping all sorts of wholesomess from cults of terror.
