Couple of odd questions:
I have the 1st ed. Sartar & Companion – any reason to get the 2nd ed. versions? In HQ2, the results table has the low roller get a Marginal in a tie. In HQG, the high roller gets the Marginal. These seem the same to me – what is the thinking behind the change?

They do not have the same effect.
Consider a character at 4W against a very high difficulty of 12W. With low roll wins, if the character succeeds, they will almost always win. With high roll wins, if the character succeeds, they will only win if the difficulty roll fails or is below their roll. Much more likely the resistance will win, which is what you’d expect between the two levels.August 21, 2015 at 11:39 pm #17078Larry Lynch-FreshnerSpectatorOK, that does make sense. Thanks!
