Crested Dragonewts are supposed to serve as ‘slaves’ to the higher ranking dragonewts. Aggressiveness is a trait which they should not show, so those that persistently show that trait end up ‘stunted’ and unable to advance in the dragonewt lifecycle. These could become ‘kobolds’. There is likely ‘instability’ in these creatures as there is an inbred desire to advance. Beaked dragonewts might kill them on-sight in order to help them correct their ‘stuntedness’ and advance appropriately.
But having odd, isolated groups of these in out-of-they-way places (or maybe not so out-of-the-way – maybe some want to ‘reform’ their brethren) may work fine.April 17, 2015 at 6:16 am #15036PaulSpectatorGoblins perhaps.
Not sure if they’re canon but I’ve always gone with Goblins being the common name for the Aldryami of small shrubs – much as Fairies are the Aldryami of flowers. I’ve always assumed that Aldryami don’t stop with trees and shrooms (dark elves) but cover the full spectrum of plant life.Slorifings may be their canon names. Or Runners?
