To start things off, since this is my first post on the forum, I’d like to say hello to everyone.
I got interested in Glorantha about a year ago, and as I’ve long held an interest in the nomads of the Eurasian steppe, I was quickly drawn to Pent, and Sheng Seleris in particular. I think I’ve managed to gain a decent grasp on his story, but I’m still in the dark as to the identity of his god, Jolaty. I’ve wondered if there is any connection to Ompalam, since both of these teach that “Life is Slavery”, but there doesn’t seem to be anything that suggests that Sheng of the Pentans have ever had anything to do with Fonrit.
Is there some information that I’ve overlooked, or has Jolaty never really been explained? Anyone have any theories of their own?

.
There *could* be a connection between Ompalam and Jolaty, which would go like:
.
1) In the Imperial Age, Fonritan worshippers of Ompalam reach Kralorela and set up a philosophical school.
.
2) The school survives the downfall of the False Dragons and becomes part of Kralorela’s intellectual landscape.
.
3) Sheng is defeated by the Kralori and sent to learn at the Fonritan School.
.
It’s also possible for Jolaty to be a philosophical innovation by Sheng Seleris by himself with there being no connection. -
