I just finished reading the Samastina’s Saga: Confronting the Firewitch section of the HeroQuest: Glorantha preview pdf, and I noticed a few errors in the extended contest example. On page 57 in the second column, it states “Kris rolls a , and Claudia an 20, as success bumped to a critical verses a fumble.” Given that the ability ratings are 1W vs. 15, this is actually a failure bumped to a success vs. a fumble, and should result in two points marked against Cragspider rather than the stated three. On page 58, column one, “Kris rolls a 19, and Claudia a 1!” This is correctly stated to be failure bumped to a success vs. a critical, but it should result in only 2 points against Samastina instead of the stated three.
I hope this can be corrected in time for publication.
