Old School Sword and Sorcery Art from the 1970s

Here’s another original from the Berlin Vault – a picture of a warrior by early Gloranthan artist Swenston from around 1976. Note the trippy geometric shapes he is running through, the general lack of clothing, and the Steve Ditko/Jack Kirby style background.

  • Cool, but I’ve gotta say, the old RQ rules weren’t very favorable to naked warriors. I believe, in all my days of gaming, I had one; an Agimori who got cut down rather early in his career by Sun Domer wearing plate mail.
